RANCHING IS STILL AN IMPORTANT WAY OF LIFE!

My family has lived on the same property since 1849. I hope at least one more generation is able to hold on to our home.

This web site was reserved by JAL69, inorder to hopefully promote some interest in the rural lifestyle. I have included three pictures on this page. The first one is of the best friend, I ever had. His name was Wolfgang. He was the first wolf I ever raised. I miss him very much. I'm currently raising my fourth wolf:Czar. The second picture is of the "Southern Cross" . My family came here in 1849 from the southern part of this country. My southern heritage is very important to me. My ancestors returmed to the south, inorder to fight for the Confederacy. Our freed slaves, that followed us here, held our ranch together during this very hard time. The third picture is a trouphy buck that was shot two years ago on the lower part of the home ranch. Herford cattle graze in our pastures. Wild game is still abundant on our ranch, because we take care of this precious resource.

Let's try to hold onto a little of our past. If we don't the future will hold little meaning.

Most of our land is the same as it was in 1849. We have left it a natural grazing ranch. I woun't allow land leveling, or clean farming. To do so would be to loose something that cannot be replaced.
